Place where I would like to go during a gap year

I would like spent a gap year in Australia after I will have finished my studies at the university. One of the places I would visit will be Sydney as you can see in the picture.
In this picture the sky is blue and there are some grey clouds. On the right side of the image there is a bridge called Harbour. It is made with iron and allows you to cross over the water that comes from the sea and connects two lands.
At the background of the picture you can see a group of buildings and skyscrapers. On the left of these there is the famous building that characterizes Sydney: Sydney Opera House. It is esthetically attractive and very original. In the corner on the right bottom you can see a group of shrubs and plants.
The sun illuminates the buildings and landscape, this light gives a more attractive color in the photo.
At the bottom and in the middle of the picture we can see the entrance to the sea that is behaving like a river.

This place attracts me a lot and impressed me. I hope, after I have finished my studies, to go to Australia during one month more or less to spend a holidays, as a parto of my gap year.

Oral Presentation: Malta

I think the oral presentation was good but it wasn’t probably at the height required class level in which we are. I think we could have put more content and improve our Prezi. If we started a few days before the presentation instead of just the day before the oral presentation, we could get much better note as we would know better what to say and we could make a more elaborate work.
Individually I think this presentation has been better than the previous one, although the nerves make you always have a bad moment. Personally I should improve my speaking and have more self-confident to speak English in public. I must no fear for make mistakes, so I think I would improve my English.

Apart from that, I think the oral presentations help us a lot to learn new words in English and help us to improve our speaking.

Deadly disease in India

A swine flu outbreak in India has killed 774 people, as the government struggles to control the epidemic.
According to the health authorities, the number of cases has increased to 12,963 since the flu broke out in December, with the Indian capital New Delhi.
The outbreak of the N1H1 virus has been the worst in five years.
Following criticism the government received for its failure in the distribution of medicine, health authorities have made efforts to ensure public hospitals across the country have adequate medical supplies and could provide free medical service for all patients.
Health authorities have also launched a campaign over television and radio to tell people about precautions they should take to avoid the deadly flu which claimed 2,700 lives in an outbreak just five years ago.

Personal Opinion

I’m so sorry for the Indians people for this awful flu that has killed many people.
I think that for them is more difficult to eradicate this swine flu because there is such poverty and they don’t have the adequate medical supplies, but the government is trying to submit free services to patients for finish this epidemic.

The health authorities are doing a very good job advising the population about how avoid to becoming infected. It’ll be important step for avoid a bigger epidemic.

Man can see again

A blind man from Minnesota has been able to see for the first time in 10 years after doctors gave him a device they describe as a bionic eye.
The 68-year-old began losing his sight around twenty years ago. By 2005, he'd lost almost all of his vision and had to stop working.
“Yes! It’s an interpretation of the shape, of the light that’s flashing!”
But now Mr Zderad is able to see again thanks to this groundbreaking procedure performed by surgeons at the Mayo Clinic.
From an intermittent flash he has to interpret the ways described in the contrast of the image.
With the help of the bionic eye, he can now make out shapes in human forms, including his own reflection in the window. Mr Zderad was fitted with a second sight implant which bypasses the damaged retina and sends light wave signals to the optic nerve. He’d also had an electronic chip embedded in his right eye which works in conjunction with the prosthetic device set in a pair of special glasses.

Personal Opinion:

I just can say, amazing awesome, incredible and that it’s one of the best invents of the human I have ever seen!
I feel so happy for the man and I hope he lives better now. I think that see suddenly impacted him and at the same time he was so thankful with the doctors.
This great innovation is for me a big step for de mankind and his development.
It shows to the society how far the human main can reach and why it’s no dangerous do experiments with the personas for help them. This is a line between this era and the last.

I think that we could bring inside of our bodies a lot of robotic prosthetic devices to help us to live better. We’ll be a humanoids.

Mummified climber found at Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in Mexico

The two climbers mummified bodies were found in the Pico de Orizaba volcano, located between the Mexican states of Puebla and Veracruz.
As known, a first body was located by accident last weekend, about 5270 meters high in the northeast face of that volcano.
On Thursday, when a group of climbers Rescue Group Delta Township Chalchicomula made the climb to rescue the first body they discovered a second body below the first, embraced him.
Chalchicomula City Council revealed that the first body shows a head injury, indicating that suffered a severe fall, and the second is embraced to the other body. Each with small pieces of clothing.
When the first body was found there was speculation that he could take more than fifty years on the site. Several professional climbers have disappeared over the years in the place, which, with a total height of 5630 meters, is the highest mountain in Mexico.

Personal opinion

I think it's an awesome and terrifying at the same time news. If one of the hikers would be very scared and I would catch a trauma. But I think from the outside what happened. From my point of view I think that a hiker a very hard blow was given to the head and then the other as he saw dead decided to embrace him and killed the two together at the volcano. Seen from this point of view I think is a very nice and tender story.

How to keep you fit

Physical fitness can help you to live longer, feel healthier and cope with life’s problems. Various activities can help you keep fit: from running marathons to climbing mountains to lifting heavy weights. For the average non-sporting person without much time to spare, activities like these are not very practical and, to be frank, they are a waste of time. It is much better in my view to devote no more than half an hour every other day to doing exercises. The important thing is to stick to a routine so that you don’t stay to yourself, “I’ll do it later.” If you haven’t got the willpower to establish a routine like this, a sport like tennis or golf might suit you better. Your partner will help you to remember to play regularly and you’ll be able to get your exercise outdoors, too.
Another good way of keeping fit is jogging: the important thing here is to build up slowly and not to overdo it. Otherwise you may give yourself a heart attack on your first run. It’s best to keep away from roads so as not to breathe in traffic fumes instead of fresh air and in case you get run over.

Taking exercise can be time-consuming but the feeling of being fit and healthy makes up for the few minutes a day it takes.

Peperoni Restaurant

Welcome to Peperoni where you’ll find the best Italian food in town! Peperoni is a tiny place and at lunchtime you’ll often have to wait for table. But on a warm, sunny day you can sit outside on the terrace and enjoy delicious sea food and pizzas with a glass or two of cool white wine. What I love about Peperoni is its atmosphere: the waiters are friendly and helpful and the customers all seem to be relaxed and cheerful.

In the evening you can dine by candlelight and the whole place seems more romantic, more intimate. A waiter will welcome you and show you to your table. Then he’ll describe the dishes of the day and bring you a drink to sip while you decide what to order. If you look around you’ll see paintings and posters of different cities of Italia and the music in the background will make you think of warm evenings. You will be with your partner and you will enjoy de dinner and all the stance in the Peperoni.

My favourite basketball player

My favourite player of basketball is Stephen Curry; he is a professional basketball player and plays in NBA, the American basketball league. Stephen Curry plays with the Golden State Warriors team and have the number 30. He is the person who I feel identified with, his way to play basketball and some of his abilities. And he is a model to follow inside the basketball. For me he is a hero because he’s strong, focused, brave and intrepid because he tries to do spectacular things and plays on the basketball court. He’s best skill is the throw from the line of 3 points, he has made over 270 shots from the 3 points line. He is one of the best players in the dribbling and crossovers, he avoid the defenses easily or he makes that it looks easy. He leads his team and he has been in the All Stars, a ceremony whit the best players of NBA. Especially he’s sacrificed and has perseverance because he never leaves and always insists to become better than before and improve his technical moves, dribbling and his fitness. I think he is an example to follow because he thinks with positivity and when does something wrong he doesn’t low the head only thinks about it and tries to do better, and overcomes mistakes that appear in his team. Nowadays for me he is just the best player and one of the best shooters ever.

The microchip

The microchip revolution is based on size and cost. Microchips give us cheap computing power in a tiny space. As the cost of microchips continues to fall, it becomes economically worthwhile to use them in more and more ways. We have to accept the microchip, or face the alternative of opting out of the free world market. Accepting the microchip brings benefits and problems. The benefits include greater efficiency in finding and using information, greater control over pollution and the use of the natural resource, help for the sick and the disable and a whole range of “smart” machines to inform, entertain and serve us.
We can guard against some of the problems. We can, for example, be alive to the danger of the misuse of information held on computer files.
There is the problem of alienation: people who cannot find a place in the technological world of the future. To guard against this problem, we need education and training schemes, and machines which are easy to use.

Finally, skills are made redundant by machines. Again, there’s a need for education and retraining. The wealth needed to pay for schemes like these is more likely to appear if we use the microchip.

Description of a person

Jeremias has been my close friend since 9 years. I first met him on a school, when we were 8. I asked him if I could play with him and we started talking. We've been friends ever since.
Jeremias is quite good-looking. He's tall and slim, with brown skin and straight dark hair and he has brown eyes. Like many South American people, he has a great sense of style, so he always looks well-dressed even in casual clothes. He wears usually jeans and T-shirts and suites that are pretty cool.
Jeremias is very outgoing. He is always friendly and loves to have fun. He's got a fantastic sense of humor and he always makes me laugh. However, he can be a bit stressful at times. For example, when he doesn't get what he wants, he is thinking hours and hours and it is so annoying.
Jeremias is very keen on athletic sports. He likes running and he spends a lot of time going out and running until he’s tired. He likes basketball too.

All in all, I'm glad to have Jeremias as my friend. It's a pleasure to be with him and I really enjoy his company. I'm sure we'll always be close friends.

Review: Frankenstain

This story was written by Merry Shellie.
This is a horror novel that make you stay in constant tension. It’s a book where appears aspects very usual in our society: the prejudice and the revenge for example.
It begins when a sailor found in a North Pol a doctor called Victor Frankenstein. After that, Frankenstein starts to explain his story and why he was there. All started when Frankenstein wanted to turn death to life. He created a monster whit pieces of died bodies. With a lightening the monster became alive.

When the monster was seen for the people, they ran away escaping of him. Because he was so ugly and huge. And during the story the monster of Frankenstein explain us how he was living and the things he did for revenge. Because nobody love him and he was alone. When the monster and the doctor made a deal something went wrong and all their life will change forever.

Discussion on science limits

I think the scientific experiments and tests that have been done throughout history have served to evolve human society. With these we have created new vaccines against diseases that once were fatal. Yes, it’s true that some very greedy human minds want to go far, such as creating eternal youth or the capacity of being able to regenerate arms and legs. But if all this stuff is done under the security protocols and thoroughly studied could get some real no so far.

There are risks that maybe we could not control and we could wipe out the human race. But I'm optimistic and I think that the best way is go on to research, and the limits of science are tied to human possibilities and if our knowledge can’t go over these, there will be the limit.
